Rodney Amirebrahimi is the artist behind The Game World: an Xbox Gamerpicture contest winner whose paintings have been featured by Microsoft and Rockstar Games. Across more than fifteen years of digital painting, he has built a visual language of luminous colour, intricate detail and characters with a life of their own.
Raised on video games and popular culture, he brings a fan’s love and a painter’s eye to familiar icons. His original characters take that imagination somewhere entirely his own: worlds shaped by science fiction, fantasy and years of developing original stories.
Look closer and the image becomes a landscape of its own: fine marks, flowing shapes and carefully worked detail. Some of his realistic paintings take more than fifty hours to complete.
